The Bomb! Came here on a Saturday night while waiting for a movie at Studio Movie Grill to start. So happy I did… what an awesome spot!
Ordered Thai beers, Beef Drunken Noodles and Red Curry with Pineapple I believe. Everything was absolutely delicious! The server was polite and fun to chat with. There was even a dude playing hits on the keyboard.
The location seems somewhat sketch (as much as Rocklin can get sketch?!) but it added to the experience. Little hole-in-the-wall spot with legit Thai food is right up my alley! : ) Definitely making this my go-to Thai place.

Amazing Family Recipes
The owners are, hands down, the nicest people. Their food is comprised of amazing family recipes and you can’t forget about that purple ice cream. Seriously, ask about it.

My go-to lunch place
I never was a huge fan of Thai food until I ate here. At first, ordering from the menu seemed a little daunting considering all the items they offer, but the friendly young server couldn’t have been more helpful in recommending the perfect plate based on my tastes — and it was delicious! Since then, Bangkok City has become one of my go-to places for lunch during the week.

Our server was sweet & very attentive without being intrusive. The Owner/Chef even came out to meet us because she heard it was our first time at her restaurant. The place is simple, cute, & cozy. We enjoyed everything that we ordered – We will definitely come back & we recommend Bangkok City Thai Cuisine if you’re ever in Rocklin, CA & you are craving Delicious Thai Food!

Love this place!
We love this place! Tom Yhung Gha is to die for. So are the Thai teas, red rice, drunken noodles and pad thai. Even the bbq chicken was on point!! The owners are both very sweet. Love having this place so close to us… definitely try to stop by whenever we can for some delicious food.

Best Thai food in Placer County
Everything at this place is delicious! All of the dishes are put together perfectly and all go together so well. I had the house salad, pineapple rice and the green curry oh but I how could I forget the seafood soup!!!! I don’t think I took a breath while I was devouring my dinner! And for dessert I had the fried banana drizzled with honey and a scoop of coconut ice cream. SO GOOD! All of this was shared between three people and we all walked out stuffed! If you are looking for a hole in the wall gem of a restaurant, well here it is people. Best Thai food in placer county.

Always leave here satisfied
I really like the casual atmosphere here. I’ve only come for lunch (they have a lunch special which is perfect for dining alone!) and there always seems to be others eating, even toward the end of the afternoon. The only thing I order is the yellow curry chicken, which is very nicely flavored with a generous portion of chicken, carrots and potato. Side of rice and a small salad come with. The salad is just lettuce and carrots with a peanut dressing, but they could just serve be the delicious dressing with a spoon and I’d be good! I feel like the size of the dish is just right- if it were any larger I’d be sick. I leave here very satisfied. Service is always friendly and prompt. You’re welcome to sit anywhere you like, they have a nice long wall with booth seating and several smaller tables towards the front if you’re just looking for a quiet space. Definitely recommend this spot for repeatedly great food and great service!

What a surprise
This small Thai restaurant is tucked away at a busy intersections strip mall. Now, I have had amazing experiences of the gastronomic kind in strip malls (See Sushi Ota), but I have to admit, I was not expecting this one. The decor is the first thing one notices when walking in. Very comfortable, and the ambiance makes you forget the restaurant is in the same space as a bar and a pregnancy center.
What made me excited about the experience was the owner. He and his wife have obviously placed their life and love into this restaurant, and it shows with the many return customers, the raves I heard from my mom after celebrating a friends birthday there, and in the food. Lunch is extremely reasonable. It comes with salad (home made dressing) and a main dish. My favorite: Pad SeeEw. Love it. Their beef was so flavorful, I knew it had not been thrown in the pan frozen. The rice was delicious, and so was the tea. The dessert (we had to try the purple ice cream with fried bananas) tucked the meal in nicely. If you are not close to this restaurant, but love Thai, and hate paying too much for just O.K food, then take the time to drive to Bangkok City Thai. You will be happy. I can almost guarantee it.

Pride in every dish
Awesome little owner operated thai restaurant in Rocklin. Very friendly service and very clean. The food is amazing and you can tell they take pride in every dish. My pad thai looked like it should have been in a magazine and tasted even better! This is one of a few thai spots that actually can make things too hot for me, I was informed by the chef that she uses fresh thai chili’s for heat. A great spot that appreciates your business and has some of the best thai food I’ve had!

Excellent customer service
As with any restaurant my main prerequisite is delicious food, which this place most certainly has. But what really blew me away was the customer service. It did take a moment to be greeted at the door, but every encounter beyond that impressed me. The gentleman who waited on us was professional and extremely polite. This establishment deserves a much larger business than they currently have. Beyond five stars.
